The AMC Pacer is a two-door compact car produced by American Motors Corporation in the US from 1975 to 1980, and by VAM in Mexico from 1976 to 1979. It was conceived by Dick Teague starting in 1971 as part of an innovative economy car proposal, though the production version diverged significantly.
