The CLK GTR is a 1997 Mercedes-Benz and AMG GT1 homologation special built for the FIA GT Championship. It uses a Lola Composites carbon-fibre monocoque and a modified M120 V12 engine. Road-car production was secondary to racing eligibility. Twenty-eight units were built between 1997 and 1999.
