What the car is and where it came from

The XK120 is Jaguar’s first post-war sports car. It was conceived by William Lyons as a one-off show car for the new XK engine. It debuted at the 1948 London Motor Show. It was Jaguar’s first sports car since SS 100 production ended in 1939.
