The Nissan Fairlady Z (S30) is the first Z car. Designed under Yoshihiko Matsuo. Introduced in late 1969. Front-engine, rear-wheel drive. Four-wheel independent suspension. Overhead camshaft straight-six. Sold in Japan as the Fairlady Z. Exported as the Datsun 240Z, 260Z, and 280Z. Produced until 1978.
