Matra 530

Philippe Guédon · 1967

The Matra 530 is a French sports car created and built by Matra. It was in production from 1967 to 1973. It was Matra's first 'true' sports car. It was named after Matra's R.530 missile. It was designed by former Simca designer Philippe Guédon. It used a steel platform chassis with perforations for lightness. It used a 1699 cc Ford Taunus V4 engine and transaxle. It featured a targa top roof.
