The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is Hyundai’s first production vehicle on the E-GMP platform and the inaugural model of its Ioniq sub-brand. Launched globally on 23 February 2021, it is a battery electric compact crossover SUV with a clamshell bonnet, Parametric Pixel lighting, and a fully flat interior floor. Its design draws from the original Hyundai Pony. No verified source attributes its design to SangYup Lee — his confirmed work includes the Ioniq 7 concept (2021) and N Vision 74 concept (2022).
